About Taxidermy
The quality of any mount depends on many things. The basic condition of the item to be mounted plays a big part. If the animal’s skin is damaged or spoiled, it may still be mountable but the quality of the finished product may be compromised. If you are uncertain about the condition of an animal please call me for an opinion.
A word about mounting pets: Generally I would advise against mounting most pets. Dogs especially have distinct personality and facial expressions which are difficult to reproduce unless you have excellent photographs. Pet preservation is not for everyone but is certainly available.
